About The Law Office Of Dennis L. Richard
I graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Tulane University and cum laude from the University of Houston Law School. I am board-certified in Civil Trial Law and Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. I am licensed to practice law in Texas and New Mexico.
My experience as a college athlete at Tulane University taught me the meaning of being prepared and fighting for my clients. I gained valuable trial experience as an assistant district attorney in Beaumont and Houston, where I prosecuted 80 criminal jury trials to verdict. I learned the value of meticulous investigation of the facts as a Special Agent in the FBI.
I spent eight years defending insurance companies and big corporations as a trial lawyer for the second-largest law firm in El Paso. My position there was largely that of a defensive coordinator, defending my clients against claims. I have spent the last 32 years of my career as a plaintiff’s lawyer, representing injured people and their families against insurance companies and big corporations. My position now is that of an offensive coordinator. I use every technique I learned from defending insurance companies to gain leverage for my clients. Having stood in the shoes of a defense attorney, I can anticipate what my opponents will do and take steps to counter their moves.
My law office is in San Antonio, Texas. To learn more about my background, please click the link below.
I hold the rank of Advocate in the American Board of Trial Advocates. Membership in ABOTA is by invitation only, and only a small fraction of Texas lawyers holds this ranking. In 2012, I was honored by selection in the National Trial Lawyers Top 100 Trial Lawyers in Texas. I have maintained that status for every year since 2012.
In addition to my legal background, I was a Special Agent for the FBI. Every legal case needs to be investigated, and my FBI training gives me an advantage over my opponents. My results speak for themselves.
